Salam, tumpang tanya,
Ape tu matang?
Macamane orang tu dikategorikan sebagai matang?
Sebab rupa ataupun perangai?
Ramai tanya buat masters subjek apa?
Bila jawab undergraduate 1st year, ada yang tak percaya.
"Ye ke?"
Masa tingkatan 5 dulu, saya pergi teman kawan bersilat kat Kajang. Saya hantar dia dan duduk tunggu kat situ tengok diorang berlatih bersilat.
Dekat2 pukul 6.30 petang tu, ada sorang pakcik ni datang nak jemput anak dia, biasa la adat orang melayu tegur menegur.
Pakcik tu tegur saya, "Tengah tunggu anak ke?"
Saya pun senyum dan jawab, "Ya pakcik, tunggu anak".
Ye la tu, mesti la jawab tak.
****
So, balik kepada persoalan, matang tu macamana?
Bak kata nabil raja lawak, "lu pikirlah sendiri"
Hehe
****
Yang saya tau, saya tak matang lagi. Kadang2 rasa tak suka jugak orang kata nampak matang sebab rasa macam kena jadi matang, padahal tak matang sangat pun, tak caye tanya Emma.
Dia mesti cakap saya tak matang langsung.
Apa-apa pun, yang penting, wajah tak menggambarkan perangai diri, tapi perangai melambangkan wajah sebenar.

After 1 week or so, I finally managed to put a fullstop on my concept for my latest project, "Architectural Clothing". "Conservation - Recycling", I called it.
A couple of readings put me back on track of why am I doing architecture, and I'm quite amazed there's practitioner (2012 architecten) who act as environmentalist as well as practising architecture itself. Their basic idea is to address the potential of wastes as building materials.
They formed "Recyclicity", a network organization whose members work to find solutions for recycling waste materials in to building materials in support of construction industry.
In Jamaica meanwhile, due to increasingly demands of affordable dwellings, mainly because of the high cost of construction materials, the Jamaica Bauxite Institute co-operated with the University of Toronto, to do researches on the ability of reusing/recycling bauxite waste or 'red mud' into an inexpensive bricks or blocks. Why bauxite? Well, it is because the readily available in Jamaica.
Whatever it is, there are growing numbers of parties trying to give a helping hand in conserving the mother nature. In the Quran, sura Al-Baqarah, verse 30:
And when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to place a viceroy in the earth, they said: Wilt thou place therein one who will do harm therein and will shed blood, while we, we hymn Thy praise and sanctify Thee? He said: Surely I know that which ye know not. (30)
Viceroy = The term derives from the Latin prefix vice-, meaning "in the place of" and the French word Roi, meaning King.
In Islam, the King of the kings is Allah and we are, the Caliph of Allah whose job is to be the leader of the earth and protect it. By this obligation, I feel that I need to play some part in it although indirectly.
As for my concept, it is quite obvious that I want to reuse the waste materials to be put into my design to promote this conservation of the earth and recycling.
I hope my concept and designs will give a zap to audience about the importance of recycling and reusing materials and not to waste it InsyaAllah.
Now it's time to put everything into place and start working on this project!
